Preface
When we read the bible we see stories of people who experienced successes in their various ventures as they followed the Lord’s leading. The bible also records a number
of people who failed woefully in the plan of God for their lives because they shifted their focus from the Lord‘s ways, and gave attention to the natural inclinations of their
hearts.
Knowing that the Almighty God has sent Jesus Christ to become the sacrifice for the salvation of the world is one thing to note, and that anyone who puts their faith in his
finished works of grace is saved eternally. After this, you have to determine whether you have put your own faith in his finished works and your life is being transformed as
a result. If this is not yet ascertained, please do it now. Otherwise you may never truly understand anything written here in this book, kindly turn to the last page and do that
now.
When you have accepted the Christ into your heart, you need to keep knowing that God has saved you by His grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and not because you know how to do anything good or that is of moral credit; it is all because in God‘s love Jesus agreed to die on behalf of human beings, so that you who believe it might have the right to become a child of God, and possessing eternal life in your spirit as you live here on earth. Clearly seeing the purpose of God for saving and transforming your life in order to fit into His perfect will is the next thing to give attention to. Every good
thing that God gave Jesus is also accessible to the saints today. Jesus informed his followers that if they believe they would do the things that he did, and they will be able to do much more than he did. This makes success an inevitable expectation from God concerning His children as they get involved in the affairs of the world, though they are not of the world, yet they must bring identifiable taste (like salt does) in all they do. All what they need to become outstanding and become the shinning lights in this dark world are already made available.
Following Christ Jesus and learning of him daily would bring them into the experience of it. But the first question to ask is, ―Did Jesus succeed in life, in everything he did?” The most probable answer will be Yes! The next question will be “Does God want you who follow Jesus Christ to succeed as well?” if yes, then ―How did he succeed?” Finding out how is what has led to the writing of this short epistle. Every believer ought to know the truth about God‘s will for their success in life, and learn the correct way(s) to experience it, just as Jesus Christ and other of his followers have succeeded.
